Kofoed Family Music recently released a new song called “Strength From You,” which is upbeat, catchy and a good reminder of Christ’s love for us.

Written by Kimberly Kofoed and Oba Bonner and performed by the older Kofoed family daughters, “Strength From You” is about our need to pull strength from the Savior. The song’s message shares that no matter what struggles or trials someone goes through, the Lord can provide them with strength and hope. The song leans in on feelings of struggle, but also emphasizes hope, as the Savior is relied upon.

“We can really get to a place of feeling pretty down and discouraged and hopeless if we don't have somewhere where we can draw strength from above our own,” Kofoed said.
“I think it's so important to really believe that there is strength through Christ. I think we each have to discover how to receive that and what that means and how we can draw from His power and His love.”

Kofoed Family Music is a family Christian group that strives to share the love and light of Christ through contemporary Christian music. They’ve released many songs since 2007 when they got their start. Since then, the family has grown with 11 children and 21 grandchildren and each family member is involved with their different projects.

“It is just this deep connection that you are able to have when you look into people's eyes and when you're saying these words, but you're singing them,” Kofoed said. "It's coming out of your soul and I'm just hoping that it reaches them. It is a powerful thing when people connect with these messages. I think the spirit is able to really teach and testify of their worth and of God's love and it is a powerful experience.”

“Strength From You” is available to stream on all music streaming platforms, as well as their music video posted to their YouTube. You can also hear it on KBYR 91.5 FM.
