BYU-Idaho Radio · Leonardo Pereyra - Department Of Labor Interview
Today’s job market can be difficult to navigate. It’s no longer just the case of writing out a job application and walking straight into most businesses nowadays. A majority of businesses will work through an online hiring process or have a very detailed process that’s specific to that one company. Thankfully, there are people like Leonardo Pereyra who specialize in helping potential employees build their skills in resume-writing, job applications and job interviews.
“I have seen very big success,” Pereyra said, concerning his job in the mobile unit of the Idaho Department of Labor. “I help them individually, you know, each and every one of them, and I have ranges from the most amazing higher-paid job, and white-collar, and just to the blue-collar jobs. and I try to help them in every way.”
Pereyra hopes more people are able to use resources like the ones the Idaho Department of Labor provides, as more people will be able to overcome their shortcomings and learn the skills necessary to gain employment.
“When I came to the states one of the most important things for me was to get my education,” Pereyra said. “I knew personally that it was the key to success, and that’s exactly why I am where I am right now.”
