Madison County Fair Returns to Rexburg

The Madison County Fair continues with tradition and is coming to town on August 10 and ends on August 15.

The theme of this year’s fair is A Fair to Remember. It was selected by a participant the previous year and now takes on a whole new meaning amidst the coronavirus pandemic version of the fair.

“We are just going to have a wonderful fair,” Carol Ladle, a Madison County Fair Board member, said, “It will be a breather from our daily COVID numbers.”

Ladle said that many competitions are available for entry along with coming to see local 4H projects.

“Hopefully [people] were making some of these wonderful things when they really were not busy,” she said.

Ladle said that with many events being canceled this summer, the Madison County Fair hopes to be a fun family activity that people can enjoy like normal.

“Come and have fun, you will not leave disappointed,” she said.

Tickets are $1.00 for those over the age of 3. Visitors can also come on Thursday and gain admission by bringing a can per person to donate.

The fair will host entertainment including a stuntman, hypnotists, and a live music group. For a detailed list of performers and show-times, you can check out their website madisoncountyfairgrounds.com.
