UPDATE: The Corndog Company relocated its Rexburg location to Rigby

REXBURG — It’s crisp, it's hot, and it’s dipped in honey, the Epic Corndog is just one of the many items that you can get at the Corn Dog Company in Eastern Idaho. And, it’s as filling as it sounds. Today at the Rexburg location, that’s exactly what Ali Crandall ordered.

”I’m a huge corndog fan… I do love it with the ketchup and the honey,” Crandall says. ”It has to have both, that’s what makes it so good,” Crandall says.

Logan Anderson the Co-owner of The Corndog Company says it all began with the CEO for East Idaho locations, Michael O’Neal. It was founded in Idaho Falls in 2019 and Anderson says before he was a part-owner he started where all corndog makers do.

“He brought me on board a few years ago, I started just as an employee and kind of worked my way up. It's our first year in Rexburg. So we're excited to be here,” Anderson says.

The Corndog Company has expanded to states like Hawaii, Utah, California, and Texas. The trailer arrived in Rexburg only a few weeks ago and it’s hard to miss. Its black and yellow color scheme with a honeycomb graphic checkering its sides suggests the savory, sweet flavors that are offered.

“The most popular thing is the epic just because it's a footlong, it's [an] all beef corndog…and the mini is just a regular size. Some people think the mini is like two or three inches. No, it's it's a regular sized [corndog],” Anderson says. “It's hand-dipped. It's delicious, and, and crunchy. And hopefully, it's good enough that people keep coming back.”

Anderson says they also offered fried cheese, fried candy bars, and kettle chips. But overall the secret ingredient that makes the the corndog pop, and everything else taste good is the honey.

“So anything on our menu, I always tell people, it's good with honey on it—Anything. Even our kettle chips, some people still put honey on their kettle chips,” Anderson says. “Some people might think it’s disgusting until they try it.”

You can find The Corndog Company near the Idaho Mattress Outlet on Main Street in Rexburg, and follow them on Instagram and Facebook at The Corn Dog Company East Idaho to see where they are popping up.
