REXBURG—Mountain America Center will host its second annual Summer Market Days on July 17 and 18, when local small businesses showcase their work for the community.
Director of Marketing Brynlee Howell at Mountain America Center is excited for summer marketing days to be bigger and better this year.
“It’s doubled, maybe even tripled in size of what it was last year,” Howell said.
Summer Market Days combines business vendors, food, entertainment and outdoor adventure to make a fun community event. Howell said the purpose is to support and celebrate small local businesses.
On July 17, Summer Market Days will be open from noon to 6 p.m. Everything outside will be open until 8 p.m.
One fun addition to Friday night is a partnership with the Civitan Club, which will host a special edition of their “Alive After Five” events from 5 to 8 p.m. This includes food trucks, local band Space Kitties and an open Adventureland with faux campground setup of tents, RVs, trailers and kayaks.
Adventureland will have interactive elements for the public to try out as well. Action Motorsports will offer free ATV rides on Friday from noon to 4 p.m., Howell said.
“We're going to have actually a rock wall that the kids can climb,” Howell said. “There's going to be e-bikes that people can like drive around and kind of see what that's like.”
Summer Market Days on July 18 will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be about 150 vendors, Howell said. This family-friendly event allows the community to explore businesses and see what things they offer.
“If people want to see what awesome local small businesses we have, this is the place to do it,” Howell said.
On both days individuals and groups can sign up to perform free of charge on the stage through the Mountain America Center website under live entertainment.
