The City of Rexburg and the Rexburg Area Chamber of Commerce will once again party in Porter Park on the 4th of July.

The party will begin at 9 a.m. before the Rexburg Independence Day Parade at 10 a.m.

"It's before, during, and after the parade, so it's really nice for the people that are on kind of the last half of the parade because before the parade gets to them, they have the opportunity to go over and ... hang out before the parade reaches them," said Amelia Lusk, the communication and events coordinator for the Rexburg Area Chamber of Commerce.

There will be performances in the park, which will include dance groups, bands and singers, with some of the talent even coming from BYU-Idaho.

The event will also include some fun activities and attractions, such as food trucks, vendors, face painting, the carrousel, the splash pad and more.

Lusk said to prepare for a lot of people if you go to the party in the park.

"It's always very highly attended every year,” Lusk said. “Because of the area of Porter Park and because of the attendance of the parade, there's thousands of people that usually end up coming through. I am just looking forward to the chance to celebrate our Independence Day with the community."

There will be restrooms and a first aid booth available at Porter Park during the event.

The party goes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
