Future brides have the opportunity to browse wedding vendors, support local businesses and even try cake for free this weekend at an event geared to help them plan their big day.
Rexburg Brides is hosting its 2024 Fall Bridal Expo on Saturday.
The expo will help brides find vendors for services like photography, videography, event planning, floral arrangement, catering and more.
Rexburg Brides co-founder Tabi Bilyeu said along with the expo helping future brides, it also helps local business vendors find clients and learn from each other.
“Not only is it a place where local brides and just anyone in the community can come and see a bunch of local businesses and support, but it’s also a chance for all of these local businesses to connect with each other and support each other,” Bilyeu said.
The business owner, who got married in 2021, said she wishes a service like Rexburg Brides was available when she was planning her own wedding.
“I think it would have been so helpful just to be able to meet people that I would want for my wedding services face to face and talk with them before my wedding day and before hiring them for their services,” she said.
The expo is free to attend and will have free samples of cake, cookies and catering from local restaurant Fresco Kitchen and Grill.
The event will take place in the Atrium above Hemming Village on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.

Rexburg Brides also offers internships for students developing marketing and event-planning skills.
“I feel like business and marketing majors would really love this, because it goes in hand with the support and planning for local businesses in the community, but also the wedding and event planning minor cluster; I believe any students in that cluster as well would heavily benefit from this as well,” Bileyu said.
She recommended that students interested in future internships email her at rexburgbrides@gmail.com.
