Roof Rescue is a roofing services company that works from Idaho Falls to Cache Valley. It has a special initiative that is designed to give back to those who serve their community, such as first responders, teachers and military veterans, who may not have the necessary funds to maintain or purchase a roof for their homes.

Mark Franklin, owner and CEO of Roof Rescue, thinks those people deserve to be thanked and shown appreciation. In an interview with BYU-Idaho Radio, he said Operation Roof Rescue is an initiative to donate roofs to deserving people in the community.

“For every 100 roofs we do in each of the five communities we serve, we’re giving one away,” Franklin said.

Franklin also said they’re selecting four additional individuals from the hundreds of nominations the organization receives to donate free roofs.

The initiative was inspired by an experience Franklin had back in 2014, when a local church reached out to Franklin about a new roof.

“The first year I was in business, a local church approached me and said they had a house that they provided free of charge for victims of domestic violence for women and their children, and it needs a new roof,” Franklin said. “We bought the material as a six-month-old company, and me and some of my guys tore the roof off and replaced it at no charge to this church, so that was the first free roof we did.”

Franklin says he wants everyone who interacts with his company to come away with more than just a new roof.

“We’re here to help, and we’re here to make sure our customers win, our team wins, our suppliers win,” Franklin said. “Everybody we interact with we want to have a net positive in life. We want it to be a good experience, and we want them to gain something from working with us.”

For Franklin, the best part of it all is giving back to those who give to others.

“I love giving back to people who give back to others,” Franklin said. “These people that we’ve found so far, a lot of them donate a whole lot of their time and money to making peoples’ lives around them better.”

Roof Rescue services several areas, including Idaho Falls, Twin Falls, Cache Valley and Western Wyoming.
