There was a record number of travelers for Independence Day, but gas prices remain stable in the Gem State. AAA reports that in Idaho, the average price for a gallon of regular gas is $3.61, which is three cents less expensive than it was a month ago and 32 cents less than a year ago.
Idaho ranks 12th in the country for the most expensive fuel. The national average is $3.51 per gallon, which is three cents less than a year ago. As of July 9, the average price of gas in Idaho Falls is $3.50, along with Pocatello at $3.56 and Twin Falls standing at $3.58.
