A brand-new ice cream spot has set up shop in Rexburg offering shakes, Blue Bell Ice Cream and Dole Whip.
Creamy Daze is now open for everyone to enjoy in Hemming Village on West Second South in Rexburg in the same building as Barber Pop Shop.
Creamy Daze originally started as two food trucks in Rigby and Idaho Falls by Taylee and Tanner Brinkerhoff. The original idea of starting Creamy Daze was one of those spontaneous decisions Taylee made.
“I was on social media and thought, ‘We should do ice cream,’ and so we decided, ‘Let’s do a food truck,’” Taylee said. “So, we started our first food truck. My husband is pretty handy, so he’s able to build a food truck.”
With little experience in the food industry, the Brinkerhoff’s set up two food trucks and now their first storefront in Rexburg, which Taylee says takes a lot of work and help from other local businesses.
“I have never worked in food and neither did my husband, so we thought, ‘I don’t know if we should do this,’” Taylee said. “We didn’t know how do it. So, it was a lot of asking restaurant owners to talk with us and be kind enough to share their tips and secrets.”
The family business offers a wide variety of Blue Bell Ice Cream flavors, Dole Whip and specialty shakes in a large selection of sizes, including the sampler.
“We also have our sampler that comes with six different scoops of your choosing, so that’s a fun one to share with friends or family,” Taylee said. “Or if you can’t decide on a flavor, you’ve got all six to yourself! We won’t judge.”
At Creamy Daze, customers can find flavors like salted caramel brownie, cookie two-step, blue monster and even cookies and cream cheesecake.
Creamy Daze is now open with giveaways happening today and tomorrow and is open Monday-Thursday from 11a.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday-Saturday from 11a.m. to 11p.m.
