Gen, Arthur and their son Fin Miner are a family from Shelley who are set to open a Bricks & Minifigs® Lego® store in Ammon this February. BAM is the largest franchised toy store of its kind specializing in the buying, selling and trading of new and used LEGO® sets, bulk bricks and minifigures. The Miners say they have been anticipating opening the Lego store for several years until the dream became a reality.
In a recent interview with BYU-Idaho Radio, Arthur explained where the passion for Legos and opening a Lego store came from.
“It started with me in my childhood,” Arthur says, “I grew up with Lego sets often. My, mom worked at a toy store, and she'd bring them home at night, and I'd wake up to a Lego set in the morning, and it was just amazing, that experience.”
The BAM store allows you to do more than buy and sell Legos, Gen says it will be a place to hang out with your friends and plan special events.
“We'll have an event space, we call it our party room, but it's a flex space where people can come in and rent it out to do different types of things, where maybe you want to bring a group of friends and some Legos, or maybe you want to have, like, a card night where you bring in your friends and play games or do something fun like that,” Gen says.
Gen also shared a portion of their mission statement.
“I think one of the biggest, highlights about Bricks and Minifigs is our focus on authentic Lego. We really believe in the importance of using a product that is good and will last the test of time. Bricks and Minifigs has a high standard for that.”
