Live Broadcast for Idaho Falls School District 91

Idaho Falls School District 91 is holding a public hearing and board meeting tonight to discuss the district's reopening plans for the 2020-2021 school year.

The Board of Trustees wants to hear ideas from parents, patrons and staff about how the district should reopen. School is scheduled to start on August 26 and 27. Margaret Wimborne, director of communications and community engagement for the district, said nothing is set in stone.

“The board will be discussing any matter of things, I don’t expect the start date to change, but it will be one of the issues that the board will be talking about,” she said.

The meeting is from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Compass Academy Auditorium, with the board meeting to follow. You can also stream the meeting online. A link to the stream is on the district's website.

Wimborne said their hope as a district is for students to know that no matter what the delivery system ends up looking like the teachers care a great deal about them, and as a district they are committed to get students the best education they can provide no matter what the situation is.
