Brother Karl Karstad was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He served a full-time mission in Antananarivo, Madagascar. He recieved his bachelor’s degree from BYU-Idaho in Business Finance, and an MBA from Idaho State University. Karl prides himself on being a third-generation BYU-Idaho graduate.
Karl met his wife, Catherine, while attending BYU-Idaho. They have been married for 20 years. They have five children, four sons and one daughter. Karl enjoys hiking, doing yard work, and watching college football and basketball. His current church calling is as an assistant clerk over finances.
