Experience Rexburg Returns with Some Restrictions

BYU-Idaho Radio · Experience Rexburg: An Interview with Rexburg Area Chamber of Commerce
Experience Rexburg is an annual event to introduce BYU-Idaho students to local businesses. It will be held in Porter Park this Saturday, September 19. The event will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Both students and locals are invited to Experience Rexburg.

In an interview with BYU-Idaho Radio, Rexburg Area Chamber of Commerce CEO Christopher Mann said the event will look different than usual due to health and safety restrictions.

“We are asking everyone who comes into Porter Park to be wearing a mask,” said Mann. “That is important to us. Public safety is our number one goal.”

Along with masks, there will be no concert or free potato bar. However, the event will have many vendors, prizes and a sound stage playing music.

Mann’s assistant, Sa’Bryn Atkins, said the purpose of Experience Rexburg is to welcome students to Rexburg and to help them connect with the area and local businesses.

“The whole point of Experience Rexburg is not only to welcome back the students who are coming back for fall semester, but our main goal is for them to get more acquainted with the city of Rexburg and the different businesses we have here,” said Atkins.
