MONTPELIER- The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced the open house dates for the Montpelier Idaho Temple.
The temple will open to the public from Thursday, September 10, through Saturday, September 26, excluding Sundays.
The dedication will be on Sunday, October 18, at 10 a.m., with a rebroadcast at 2 p.m. The session will be broadcast only to members living within the temple district.
The Montpelier Idaho Temple will be the eighth dedicated house of the Lord in Idaho.
Three additional temples in Idaho are currently under construction or have been announced, including the Teton River Idaho Temple in Rexburg. Temples in Caldwell and Coeur d’Alene have also been announced.
The Montpelier Idaho Temple was originally announced in April 2022.
Idaho is home to more than 482,000 Latter-day Saints across more than 1,300 congregations.
