Following a path least taken has its challenges, but also its successes. Comedian Jenna Kim Jones understands that struggling is a part of having success.
Jones performs stand-up comedy and said her journey on the stage had its failures in the beginning.
“I always tell my daughters ‘Life doesn’t happen quickly or easily. Your dreams don’t happen overnight – it is a long time. You have to work and you have to practice,’” Jones said.
She believes that in order to pursue your dreams, you have to be willing to work hard.
From a young age, Jones loved comedy. After graduating from college, she worked for “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” in New York City. That was where she was introduced to stand-up comedy.
She loved stand-up because she was in control of the jokes she made, which meant she could perform clean comedy. Her clean comedy act has been challenging at times, but overall she has had positive experiences with it.
Her career has led her to have many rewarding experiences, such as narrating the movie “Meet the Mormons.”
Jones will perform in Rexburg on Thursday, Feb. 23 at The Romance Theater. To buy tickets to the show, visit: https://lolrexburg.ticketleap.com/jenna-kim-jones/dates/Feb-23-2023_at_0700PM
