Christmas Extravaganza at the Madison Library District

BYU-Idaho Radio · Christmas Extravaganza at the Madison Library District

The Madison Library District is celebrating the holiday season with its Christmas Extravaganza. The event is Wednesday, Dec. 9 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event is drive-thru style, and Gina Miller, the children and teens programming coordinator at the library says Santa will make an appearance.

“Children can come and stay in their car. If you drive up to the library, [on] the west side of the building, on that one-way drive-thru, and just pull in front of the community room,?Santa will be there,” Miller said. “They can give him their letters or their pictures, and put something in there about what they have done that was fun or good this year, and what they would like for Christmas, and Santa will give them a fun activity and a treat.”?????????

This event is one for the whole family. Miller said they have treats and activities for all ages, including teenagers. She said their annual Christmas Extravaganza always has an activity for teens, and this year is no different.

Those unavailable to attend the event during those hours will be able to pick up the activity and treat through Dec. 23, while supplies last. Santa will only be available on Wednesday, though.

Miller said the library wanted to make this event special with a fun theme. This year, they chose to give this event a Hawaiian theme.

“We had decided a while ago that we wanted to go somewhere with Christmas. We decided we wanted to go to Hawaii, because a lot of people’s vacations did not work out this year. So, we are taking the library and our Christmas Extravaganza to Hawaii with a Mele?Kalikimaka?Christmas,” Miller said?

The Christmas Extravaganza is Dec. 9 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Madison Library District in Rexburg and is a drive-thru event. Bring your kids and their letters to Santa for a fun way to celebrate Christmas. More information is available online at madisonlib.org
