Campus Life invites students and the community to kick off the start of November by giving them a chance to enjoy a good, old-fashioned a cappella event, with not a single instrument present.

The event is at the Manwaring Center Crossroads on Saturday at 7pm.

“You listen to some good music, you get to see some talented people, and you get to meet new people as well,” said Annika Mayes, a student director for Campus Events and Activities.

Mayes says the event will be an opportunity for students to express themselves on stage.

“I feel like the a cappella show is mostly for students to get together and show what they’re passionate about. Every time we see all of their shows, they just seem so passionate, and they sing so good. And we want to give them that opportunity to express themselves through music, through songs, because it’s genuinely what they enjoy and it’s always fun to see them,” Mayes said.

Mayes says the show will include an intermission where free snacks and food will be available for those in attendance.

Mayes says attendees can expect an entertaining time watching the performances.

“They always have some creative performances, and they even sometimes dance or they get super creative. So yeah, just to see creative people and see what they do, and it’s fun,” Mayes said.

Mayes says the singers had to audition to make it to the stage as part of the four groups who will perform.
