The comedian Nate Bargatze is bringing his tour to BYU-Idaho this Friday to an audience who have had their tickets for months. The show in the BYU-Idaho Center sold out three weeks after tickets went on sale.
Bargatze’s 2024 comedy tour broke records, and he is ranked No. 1 on Comedyville's "funniest stand-up comedians" list.
Bargatze also wrote a book, has a podcast, his own theme park and even starred in a movie that came out this summer entitled "The Breadwinner!"
Students at BYU-Idaho say they have watched the comedian’s Netflix specials, and approve of Bargatze’s comedy style.
“He does a good job making mundane things hilarious," one student said.
“He's funny,” another student said. “All of his jokes are clean. He doesn't swear too much like some of the other guys."
“I think his deadpan humor is really good, and he can make a joke about anything."
"Oh, he's pretty funny. I’d go see him in person if I wasn't poor."
Many students are disappointed the show sold out before they could get their tickets, but one person said they saw tickets being resold on Facebook Marketplace.
For those who do have tickets, a student gave some advice.
"Just be ready to kind of go at it and laugh.”
Nate Bargatze’s sold out "Big Dumb Eyes Goes to College" show will be in the BYU-Idaho center at 7:30 p.m. this Friday.
