Gear up for a night where anything can happen, literally anything, in Comic’s Frenzy’s first performance of the Winter 2025 semester.
Comic Frenzy is BYU-Idaho’s improv team. They perform short and long form improv, involving the audience in fun games for quick and easy laughs, as well as longer scenes that tell funny stories.
This semester, there’s a new improv team, and members Andrew Sparks and Jackson Aden are part of the winter semester cast.
“We have some newer people who are very talented, but they haven't gotten the chance to perform yet,” Sparks said. “Getting to work with this new team in front of a full audience and making them laugh and coming up with these new stories, I think it's going to be a blast.”
“I love connecting with my teammates,” Aden said. “They're rock stars and it's so fun to see what other people think of and how we're going to work with the ideas they come up with.”
The cast has been preparing in class and out to develop comedy and improv skills to deliver a funny and family friendly improv experience.
“We get to riff off each other and tell a story that's engaging and fun and entertaining for everybody of all ages,” Aden said. “Is it going to be a giraffe as a lawyer or is it going to be a McDonald’s worker being tempted by the Burger King man? It could be anything. It's a blast, and everyone should come.”
There are two shows on Saturday at 7 and 9 p.m. in room 105 in the Snow Building on campus. Admission is free and you can find more information on Instagram @byuitheatre.
