BYU-Idaho Radio’s inspirational station, KBYR FM, is changing its frequency in the Idaho Falls area to 90.9 FM.
A new radio station called Salt and Light Radio will begin to broadcast in the coming days on 88.3 FM, which is the frequency KBYR has used in the Idaho Falls area for several years. KBYR will continue to broadcast on 91.5 FM in the Rexburg area but to listen in Idaho Falls, you’ll need to switch to 90.9 FM.
The new radio station is expected to begin broadcasting this week, necessitating the change of KBYR’s frequency.
During the changeover, there may be some time when KBYR cannot broadcast while we wait for Federal Communication Commission approval to switch frequencies. You will still be able to listen to KBYR FM online at Stream KBYR 91.5 FM, on the TuneIn app for Apple or Android devices, or through your smart speaker. Just ask Alexa, Google or Siri to “play KBYR FM.”
