BYU-Idaho's Department of Home and Family has put together a fashion show that will bring the sights and festive flair of Carnivale.
“Get ready to clap because you won’t stop clapping the whole show,” said Olivia Alvord, an apparel major and fashion show committee chairman.
She said the fashion show is primarily an opportunity for students to showcase the things they’ve created this semester.
Ty Keller, an apparel major and member of the logistics and marketing team for the fashion show committee, says the committee does its best to make the atmosphere professional.
The event runs from 2-4 p.m. at the Hart Auditorium. Refreshments will be served at 2 p.m. and the show begins at 2:30 p.m.
Keller and Alvord highlight how much of an impact their professors had on them.
“I just cannot say enough how much these professors mean to me, at least, because they’ve seen me sob in front of them over stupid projects. But it mattered to me in the moment. And they spend so much time and they’re willing to work with us overtime and answer our questions and they love and support us so much,” Keller said.
“I would hope that these professors understand that all of the things that are going to be on the runway and that the students are going to create in the future, everything that the alumni are doing now, none of that would be possible without them,” Alvord said.
Tickets for the event are $5 online and $7 at the door. Children 5 and under enter free. You can find tickets in-person or online through the Ticket Office.
