BYU-Idaho has a fun and spooky event this weekend for students and the community to enjoy.
Nane Uasila’a, a campus events coordinator with Campus Life, says Spooktacular is meant to bring students together to have a good time celebrating the Halloween season.
“Spooktacular does a bunch of different activities that can bring all the students together to have a good time and to celebrate Halloween,” Uasila’a said.
There will be a variety of activities including a dance, costume contest, crafts, minute-to-win-it-games, bingo, mini golf, laser tag, refreshments and a spook alley, which Uasila’a says is Campus Life’s version of a haunted maze, and it’ll include scarers and spooky decorations.
Uasila’a says there’s another purpose behind an event on campus that allows students to dress up.
“I would say it’s like an event to help people bring out their inner selves and be more confident and have more of a good time during Halloween,” Uasila’a said.
Spooktacular’s activities are happening at the Manwaring Center on the second and third floors, inside the Taylor Building, and in the Taylor/Benson parking lot from 8-11 p.m.
Tickets for the event cost $6 for students and $7 for the public. You can find them here.
