On Monday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will host a special birthday broadcast for President Russell M. Nelson's 100th birthday.

The broadcast will start at 4 p.m. and goes until 5:15 p.m.

In honor of President Nelson's birthday, BYU-Idaho Radio asked BYU-Idaho students what birthday message they would like to share with President Nelson and how he has impacted their lives.

"Happy birthday and thank you so much for all the love that you show to each member. I really feel it during general conference,” said one student named Emma.

She explained that President’s Nelson's encouragement to “let God prevail” and “not being so shortsighted” has helped her have a bigger perspective in life.

Another student, Max Imo, shared his perspective on the positive influence President Nelson has had in his life.

“One thing I’ve learned from him is just living life … no matter what happens just keep reminding yourself that you have to live celestial. Just be happy even in the bad times.”

To listen to the birthday celebration, go to KBYR 91.5 FM. To watch it live, go to Broadcasts.ChurchofJesusChrist.org, the church's YouTube channel or the Gospel stream App.
