For one night only, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is coming to the BYU-Idaho Center.

The live, family-friendly musical is Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and features Casey Elliott from the music group Gentri as Joseph, Lexi Walker, YouTube sensation, as the narrator, KayCee Stroh from “High School Musical” as Potiphar’s wife, Shaun Johnson from “The Johnson Files” as Pharaoh and Yahosh Bonner, gospel singer, as Judah.

The cast also features local dancers and a 120-person women and children’s choir. The symphony is composed of BYU-Idaho professors, students and local musicians.

Producer and co-director Tanner Christensen is excited to bring the show to Rexburg.

“I produced this show for two years down in Salt Lake City,” Christensen said. “We've had about 15,000 people attend, and it just was very successful down there. People loved it.  I met with the BYU-Idaho team, told them I had this show in Salt Lake. We worked with them to bring the leads up and then everything else we got here.”

Tickets start at $15 and a student and employee discount is available.

“If I could describe the show in one word, I would probably just say fun,” Christensen said. “There's so many colors, so many costumes, so much dancing you'll laugh, you'll cry. It is really just a fun time for all ages. This is probably not your typical musical. It is just like I said before it is so fun, I don't think anyone will come to the show and regret buying a ticket.”
