Mama Fla will offer authentic Italian cuisine to its customers starting in August. This food includes fresh pastas like rigatoni and linguini as well as desert and Italian soda.
Flaminia Assirerreli and her husband Marco Assirerreli decided to open the restaurant after moving to Idaho Falls two years ago. Flaminia was a chef and catered in Rome for many years before deciding to become a lawyer. Her real passion, though, has always been cooking.
“My passion is cooking because when you cook you offer wonderful things to other people,” Flaminia said.
Even though Mama Fla isn’t open yet, those wonderful dishes are still available for purchase each week. Since the move, Flaminia has been serving her fresh pastas and food at the Idaho Falls Farmers’ Market every Saturday.
“The farmers’ market experience is a wonderful experience for me because I can prepare fresh pasta … people love my meals and every Saturday I sell out. For me it’s wonderful,” Flaminia said.
