A new mental health firm has opened in Eastern Idaho. Kelly Case Management Services was founded by Cody Kelly.
Kelly has worked in the mental health field for around 10 years. He’s worked in outpatient settings at residential facilities, as a supervisor, then team lead. He met with children with behavior needs.
He also worked in case management in various roles. A case manager in Seattle with a case load of around eighty people and a case manager for Fairfax Behavioral Hospital.
He recently moved to the area where he started Kelly Case Management Services.
“I moved to Rexburg about a year ago, so I’m still rather new to the area,” Kelly said.
He’s noticed that when searching for care for himself, his friends and his clients that the systems in Idaho aren’t as robust as those in bigger cities.
“So, I’ve created this company to help individuals and families access the services that they need without much of a hard time to do so,” Kelly said.
Case management and counseling are very different. When an individual needs care, they must find that service. When googling for services, that individual can become overwhelmed with all the options. Kelly says his services are to help them choose.
“For my company in case management, I’m basically a guide for them through that process, so that they can get in very quickly. That they have somebody that’s able to provide a list of qualified professionals in the area that meets their needs,” Kelly said.
Kelly hopes his services provide relief for individuals that are busy with school and work. They turn to him, and he provides them with essential services.
“It’s really about being able to focus on other aspects of their lives,” Kelly said.
Kelly says he wants to provide this service to people in need at a low cost.
“I try to make the prices as low as possible, because I don’t want that to be a barrier to care,” Kelly said.
His goal for his services is to help those in need, find immediate care. Kelly says sometimes it takes months for people to find those services. With his case management, he points them in the right direction.
“They just are able to meet with me, let me know what they need, and hopefully within 2 to 3 weeks, they have an appointment, rather than trying to go and figure out how to get an appointment,” Kelly said.
Case management relies on good relationships with various firms around the area, to offer the best services to their clients.
“I’ve built established relationships with a lot of the counseling agencies in the area, so when I’m recommending these people, I’ve physically met with them,” Kelly said.
