A Look at the Idaho Falls Arts Council with Georgina Goodlander

BYU-Idaho Radio · A look at the Idaho Falls Arts Council with Georgina Goodlander

The Idaho Falls Arts Council strives to educate the community and enrich its quality of life through visual and performing art.

The nonprofit owns the Willard Arts Center, the Colonial Theater, and the ARTitorium on Broadway.

The ARTitorium has several events coming up, and each month has a different theme for art projects. This month is sponsored by Unbottled, and the theme is cheese-making. You can participate in a cheese art contest throughout the end of this month. Just make an art piece about or involving cheese, and get the chance to win a cheese making kit!

July will be sponsored by Westmark Credit Union, so the theme is money and banking.

In the month of August, there is a lot to look forward to. The ARTitorium is presenting the Roaring Youth Jam, which is a free art festival for kids. The three day event is along the Idaho Falls River Walk. There are ten different art booths and live performances from local musicians and performers.
