With Veterans Day coming up next week, Pocatello is among the many cities across the country celebrating in one form or another.

Elder Gérald Caussé is the newest member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was called on Thursday, November 6, 2025, and ordained the same day by President Dallin H. Oaks and the other members of the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.

A local theatre has productions coming up for the whole family to enjoy.

The annual event will feature a night of experienced speakers, entertainment and games to encourage attendees to reach their potential.

The Pocatello Police Department is kicking off the Christmas festivities with a fundraiser this weekend.

Reed’s Dairy in Idaho Falls just completed a new production facility, less than two years after a fire destroyed its previous facility. That fire, in January of 2024, caused the dairy to lose its production capacity, making them outsource their work. Now, they are reopening their facility with a ribbon cutting next week.  

In today’s BYU-Idaho devotional address to students, Andy Johnson highlighted how relationships are a key part of life. He said it’s important for people choose to keep the best relationships in their life, while getting rid of those relationships that take them away from Jesus Christ. Those could include relationships with entertainment or hobbies.

Tomorrow, polls for the upcoming municipal election will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. In Rexburg, eight candidates are running for three City Council seats.

Aaron Richards is running for the Rexburg City Council. In an interview with BYU-Idaho Radio, he explained why he is running, what he would bring to the position, what issues he would focus on and more if he is elected. Election Day is tomorrow, with polls open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Below is a transcript of the interview. It has been lightly edited for clarity
