You will be given different opportunities to teach students and help shape their futures. As you work closely with each student, you will help them improve and gain confidence in the instrument they are learning.

Middle or High School Band Teacher
The main responsibility of a school band teacher is to teach students how to play certain band instruments. They also prepare the band to perform musical numbers through teaching each group of instruments their part and bringing it all together. They also perform regular teaching duties such as taking role, managing a classroom, and more.
Elementary School Music Teacher
You will prepare lessons and teach music to elementary school kids. You may also lead choir, band, and other musical activities. In special musical events at school, you may have the opportunity to prepare students for those events. You will work closely with students in helping them learn and to track their progress.
Private Music Teacher
As a private music teacher, you work one-on-one with students to help them progress in their chosen instrument. You will teach them correct principles and technique in music. This includes basic music theory, correct technique in their instrument, and more. Being a private music teacher also involves adapting lessons to each students needs and skill level.
