Actuarial Science Introduction

This is a math-focused degree, featuring courses such as calculus, trigonometry, and financial mathematics. It builds on the foundation of the Statistics degree to focus on the specific practices found in actuarial science. Students learn about how to visualize and interpret data sets using statistical programs such as R, SAS, and Excel to approach understanding and managing data with confidence. Emphasis is placed on microeconomics and macroeconomics, and how they factor into business decision-making.
