With a Cybersecurity (B.S.) degree, you will learn how to identify and protect Information Technology (IT) computer systems, issues, and concepts. Some of these include:
- Network Security: the policies, practices, and security controls to prevent, detect, and monitor unauthorized access of computer networks.
- Ethical Hacking: the authorized practice of hacking into a system or network to identify and fix security flaws before attackers can find and exploit them.
- Incident Response: an organization’s planned set of actions taken to manage and recover from a cybersecurity incident or data breach.
- Cloud Security: the policies, technologies, applications, and controls used to protect data, applications, and infrastructure hosted in a cloud computing system.
- Risk Management: the process of identifying, analyzing, and prioritizing risks to an organization’s information systems and data.
- Identity and Access Management: a security framework that manages the digital identities of users and controls verifying their authentication and authorization.
