There are two types of illustration degrees at BYU-Idaho: Illustration: Publishing and Illustration: Entertainment Design. While they are similar, the two programs focus on different types of art and different mediums.

Entertainment Design Emphasis
A degree in Entertainment Design is all about storytelling and animating. These students mainly work in 3D mediums. They also:
- Study animation programs used in professional studios.
- Practice storyboarding and story development.
- Learn how to create art for film, video games, and television.
Career Differences
