An Advanced Vehicle Service Specialist, also known as a Vehicle Technology Specialist, is a highly skilled technician or engineer who diagnoses, maintains, and repairs the complex electronic and mechanical systems found in modern vehicles. This career especially bridges the gap between traditional mechanics and computing technology!

The Occupational Outlook Handbook describes this career to be under Automotive Service Technicians, but the work is increasingly focused on specialized technology:
