Job Description
The Souvenir Division of Tongass Trading Company, the longest continually operating retail establishment in the state of Alaska is now hiring for the 2024 summer season. The Tongass Trading Souvenir Division is comprised of FOUR souvenir stores that serve over a million tourists that visit beautiful Ketchikan, Alaska each year. Our summer tourist season runs from April 7- October 26. We are looking for full-time seasonal employees to work in our stores. Rolling start dates available.
Responsibilities may include:
• Customer service
• Stocking sales floor merchandise
• Sales floor recovery
• Cashiering
• Processing merchandise in the warehouses
• Opening/closing cash registers
• Communicating store needs with managers
• End of season inventory
Requirements / Qualifications
Skills/Abilities needed:
• Customer service friendly personality
• Ability to work hours and days as needed
• Reliable

• Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
• Ability to quickly switch back and forth between tasks
