Job Description
Henry’s Fork Surgery Center is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our high-volume Ophthalmology Ambulatory Surgery Center. You will work closely with surgical nurses and ophthalmologists to deliver high-quality pre- and post-operative patient care in a fast-paced environment with predictable daytime hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Intake & Prep: Welcome patients and assist with pre-operative preparation.
- Vital Signs: Obtain and document accurate vital signs; communicate findings with RNs.
- Patient Safety & Comfort: Assist patients with transfers, ensuring safety for visually impaired populations.
- Post-Op Support: Help recovery room RNs monitor patients post-surgery and assist with discharge.
- Turnover & Supplies: Sanitize bays/stretchers, restock clinical supplies, and maintain clean facilities.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Active CNA license in the State of Idaho.
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong communication skills and safe patient transfer techniques.
- Prior ASC or surgical experience preferred (training available for candidates with strong interest in ophthalmology).
