Job Description
A Maggie's Place Academic Tutor brings his or her love for learning and teaching to the students and families we serve. Our students range from grades K-12 and come to us for help with Math, Reading, Writing, Science, and SAT/ACT Test Prep. Our tutors are positive minded, have excellent communication skills, work well 1-on-1 with students, can teach by asking questions, and provide ample, positive feedback. An excellent tutor shares their love for the subject material and establishes a positive and encouraging rapport with the student.
Our tutors work one-on-one with their students; beginning with an initial assessment, through assisting with homework, reinforcing foundational skills, and regularly performing regular benchmark probes.
Requirements / Qualifications
Excellent academic GPA history, previous experience tutoring, and letters of recommendation all contribute toward a strong application. Applicants must be able to pass a criminal background check.
