Introduction

Wade Huntsman was raised in Shelley, Idaho, a small farming community in Southeast Idaho. As a child, he spent most of his time exploring the outdoors, playing sports, and drawing anything and everything. Wade's formal art education includes an Associate Degree in Illustration from Ricks College, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, and a Master of Education from A.I.U. in Boston.
Wade Huntsman has created illustrations for both the publishing market and the entertainment industry. His clients include Harcourt Brace Publishing, Field and Stream, Peterson's Hunting, Walt Disney, Sony, Warner Brothers, NBC, Cartoon Network, and DreamWorks SKG. He spent several years working on full-length feature films with DreamWorks, contributing to notable films such as The Prince of Egypt, The Road to El Dorado, Spirit, Sinbad, Over the Hedge, and Flushed Away. He also worked on the acclaimed original Star Wars: Clone Wars series.
Currently, Wade is a full-time illustration professor at Brigham Young University-Idaho, where he teaches both traditional art-making mediums and digital art programs. He remains connected to colleagues in the industry, staying current with trends and developments. Wade enjoys the Southern Idaho lifestyle with his wife, Mary Jo. Their three children, Trey, Lauren, and Paige, are now grown and working as professional artists. Wade and Mary Jo are also proud grandparents to two grandchildren, Ollie and Sutton.
