TJ Julander completed a bachelor's degree in Interior Design from BYU-Idaho. He earned a master's degree in Instructional Technology from National University and an Education Specialist degree in Adult/Organizational Learning and Leadership from the University of Idaho.
Professor Julander has experience as a workshop facilitator and innovation consultant, and lead designer in his own cabinetry firm. He joined BYU-Idaho in 2002. Since that time, he has served as an assist campus architect and full-time faculty in the Department of Art, teaching interior design and design thinking and user research. He has also served as an associate dean in the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies and as department chair in the now defunct Department of Interior Design.
