Biography
Tamara got her first camera at 8 years old and has been taking pictures ever since. Classically trained in studio portraiture she owned and operated her own studio in Logan, Utah. Then in 1998 she married Brian and moved to Idaho Falls where she works with him in their commercial studio, Brown Photography.
Tamara is a PPA Master of Photography and is a PPA certified photographer. Tamara has been active in Professional Photographers of Idaho, serving on the board and also as President. She has been Photographer of the Year in Idaho and also received Fuji and Kodak Gallery Awards on numerous occasions.
Even though photography is a passion, Tamara has many other creative hobbies such as gardening, quilting and woodworking. She has been teaching as an adjunct professor for over 20 years at BYUI and enjoys helping her students see the “Light”!
