Scott Martin graduated from Utah Valley University with a bachelor's degree in integrated studies. He continued his graduate studies at the University of Rhode Island, where he completed master's and doctorate degrees in behavioral science and psychology.
Dr. Martin joined the faculty in the Department of Psychology at BYU-Idaho in 2014. He also founded Alere Youth Development, a non-profit organization that seeks to empower youth suffering from substance abuse.
Dr. Martin has published several articles on how lonliness and media use affect Latter-day Saint young adults, and various topics on workplace conflicts or employee burnout.
