Richard Datwyler grew up in Cache Valley and served a mission in London, England. He completed his Ph.D. at Utah State University in the field of Plasma physics, specifically computational plasma containment. In conjunction with this he also has interest in atmospheric plasma, kinetic theory of plasma and other computational physics, including solar energy.
