Rebecca Parkinson is beginning her thirtieth year of teaching organ at Brigham Young University-Idaho. She completed her degree in organ and composition from Utah State University and has been active in the organ world ever since. Rebecca is a published composer and has been published in recordings as well. You can find her playing on the CD Recording "Sing Me to Heaven-The Choral Music of Daniel E. Gawthrop." Her experiences with accompanying are as follows: organist with the Idaho Falls Symphony, Sun Valley Summer Symphony, and Ricks College (now BYU-I) Symphony Orchestra. She has been an accompanist/organist for the Northern Utah Choral Society, USU Singers, Idaho Falls Symphony Chorale, Idaho Falls Opera Theater, Sounds Choir of Idaho Falls, and presently, for The Eastern Idaho Chorale.

Rebecca has been listed in "Who's Who in America," is a founding member of the Eastern Idaho Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, and is a guest organist at Temple Square in Salt Lake City. She has participated as an accompanist and organist as part of Temple Square Concert Series. Rebecca was an employee of Chesbro Music Company in Idaho Falls for twelve years and is presently librarian of the Idaho Falls Symphony and Idaho Falls Youth Symphony. In addition to her concertizing, accompanying and recording, she also maintains a private studio of organ and piano students and is a published composer.
