Peter Carmack graduated from BYU-Idaho with a bachelor's degree in philosophy. His graduate studies took him to Brandeis University, where he earned a master's degree in philosophy, followed by a doctorate degree in philosophy from the University of Leeds.
Dr. Carmack has influenced many companies through the years, serving in sales, as a director of operations, and founded two financial consulting companies. He joined the faculty in the Department of Humanities and Philosophy at BYU-Idaho in 2015. Since that time, he has co-founded three more financial lending and trading companies. While attending BYU-Idaho as an undergraduate student, Dr. Carmack was a co-founder of the Philosophical Society, and served as the society's president, vice president, and secretary. He also founded Elenchus, BYU-Idaho's first undergraduate philosophy journal.
