Biography
Born in Provo, Utah, Paul split the years of his youth between Provo and Singapore. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in South Korea. He studied math, physics, and computer science at BYU and received a master’s degree in mathematics from the University of Utah and a Doctor of Arts degree in mathematics from Idaho State University. His research has been in cell motility, cancer cell response to radiation, and gene expression in normal versus cancerous cells. Paul has taught math, statistics, and science at Ricks College/Brigham Young University-Idaho since 1990. He is married to Kathryn Stevens and they have six children and one grandchild.
