Bio

Mike Christopherson has certifications to teach students ages 3 to 22 in the public schools. This includes students that are gifted and talented, students with emotional and behavioral disorders and students with mild, moderate, severe and profound disabilities. He has over eighteen years of public-school teaching experience and has taught in a variety of settings and levels in special and regular education. Mike taught, integrating the full inclusion of students with severe disabilities, at the elementary school level.  He taught students with emotional and behavioral problems at the Junior High level. He has experience teaching Math (Algebra I & II & Geometry) English, Computers and Science (Earth, Biology & Chemistry) at the High School level and has taught in three different states, Idaho, Nevada, and Utah. Mike also spent two years as a Special Education Director in a private school setting. He now has two master’s degrees, one in teaching and one in educational administration. The Lord has blessed and continues to bless Mike’s life in many ways. He is very grateful for this additional experience of rubbing shoulders with such wonderful students at BYU-Idaho.
