Mark Pugh graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor's degree in chemistry. He graduate studies took him to the University of Utah, where he earned a doctorate degree in organic chemistry. Dr. Pugh joined the faculty in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Ricks College in 1998. He stayed with the department when the college made its transition to BYU-Idaho in 2001.
