Bio

Kevin Stanger has enjoyed a lifelong career in education. In 1984 he began as a classroom teacher, teaching in public schools for thirteen years in Oregon and Idaho. After receiving an education administration credential in 1998, he left the classroom and began work as a public-school administrator. His leadership assignments included principalships working in elementary, middle, and high schools. In 2008, he received an invitation to join the faculty of the Elementary, Early, and Special Education department at Brigham Young University-Idaho. During his tenure at BYU-Idaho, teaching assignments primarily include courses in the elementary and secondary teacher preparation programs. However, he has also taught classes in the Foundations department and the Religious Education department. He served as the department chair for Elementary, Early, and Special Education from 2010-2014. He received his BA in Math Education from Brigham Young University, his MA in Education Administration from the University of Idaho, and in 2017 obtained the Danielson Evaluator Certification.
