Biography

Kerry Moser has always loved Art. As young girl, she commandeered an old cinderblock building on the family farm in Gooding, Idaho and turned it into her makeshift art studio, where oil was her primary medium. In high school, Kerry decided to make her living as a photographer, and with that resolved, she bought her first camera. Since there were no photography classes at her high school, it wasn’t until college when she received any real instruction, and she has been hooked ever since.
After graduating with a degree in Photography, Kerry worked as a professional portrait photographer for 20 years. After her children got a little older, Kerry returned to BYUI to earn a degree in Art Education and then taught Art and Photography in the public school system for eleven years. A special passion for Kerry has been exploring the interplay of light and shadow and how they communicate or distort form.
Kerry and her husband, Leon, have four children and one grandchild and reside in Sugar City, Idaho.
