John T. Zenger graduated from Brigham Young University in 1993 with a master's degree in zoology. He then completed a doctorate degree in entomology from Purdue University in 1997.
Dr. Zenger taught at the University of Florida for several years before joining the Department of Biology at BYU-Idaho in 2001. He currently serves as the dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and as the department chair in the Department of Biology.
